Hi, I’m Dr Henry Aughterson.
I help people understand themselves and change patterns of behaviours they feel stuck in.
I’m a medical doctor, well-being coach and mental health researcher with a PhD in Behavioural Science and Health from UCL, providing coaching support for those looking to improve their relationship with:
1 - addictive substances (e.g. alcohol, nicotine, recreational drugs, etc.)
2 - habitual behaviours (e.g. phone/social media use, eating patterns, finger biting, skin picking, tics, exercise, and more)
Using my structured, evidence-informed PEACE framework™ (see below), I will help you understand yourself more deeply and create lasting change — so you can land at the place that feels right for you.
If you feel I might be able to help you, I offer a free, zero-expectation 30-minute call to see if we might be a good fit.
Alongside this, I support:
men who want to strengthen emotional awareness, communication, and resilience
people living with chronic health conditions with their well-being and shifting identity
Change the patterns you feel stuck in.

N.B. these 13 theories, modalities, and concepts are the key areas I draw in within my coaching practice, however it is important to stress this is not “formal therapy”, and my approach is individualised for each client, centring the humanistic and person-centred principles of unconditional positive regard, congruence (authenticity/genuineness), and empathetic understanding.
